Seriously I can’t believe this season of Supernatural. Last week we had Dean being all sad and mopey and talking about how he wants to experience certain things and people differently. Like Dean wants a meaningful loving relationship. This has been canonically established. 

And then we have this week with Dena going to a bar and chatting up the bartender who he apparently has established some sort of friendship with. They seemed to know each other petty well. And then Dean fluffs up his hair? And winks? And goes on to do a very impressive display of peacocking, I’m just saying. Which if you take this in withe Dean’s speech about “things” he wants to experience differently, it makes it look even more like they are trying to establish that Dean is not 100% straight. Especially if you look at his interactions with Crowley over the past season. 

But honestly? None of that is really significant until you look at Cas’ behavior in last nights episode. I mean the first time we see Cas (aside from the opening seance sequence) he’s standing on his tippy toes and craning his neck to see if Dean is in the car with Sam. And the minute Sam says Dean isn’t there and that he’s getting worse, that kicked puppy look gets replaced with righteous anger that is present through the entire rest of the episode. He gets angry at Hannah, his friend, who points out that this is an act of desperation. He’s surly with Bobby. I am 100% convinced that if Dean was not in the state he is in now, Cas would have let Sam shoot Metatron in that playground and he wouldn’t have cared about the grace. He’s going after the grace in case he can use it to save Dean because that is what the entire episode narrative leads me to believe. 

And that righteous anger is what it so unbelievable to me. Because Sam isn’t like that. Sam is determined, but he’s also very resigned. He’s resorting to last ditch efforts and sneaking behind Dean’s back. Cas on the other hand, will burn every bridge and knock down every door that stands in this way. Because he is desperate. And that behavior, coupled with Dean’s sudden more textual bisexuality, is what makes me so optimistic. Cautiously optimistic, but optimistic nonetheless.

when i saw all time low in 2013 this kid threw his ipod on stage and rian picked it up and it was opened to notes and it said “can i sing dear maria with you?”  and the band were pretty much like “yeah get up here” and then it turned into “WHO CAN PLAY DEAR MARIA ON DRUMS/BASS/GUITAR” and they found people who could and straight up handed them their instruments and let these four kids from the audience play dear maria on stage and it’s one of the coolest things i have ever seen

Would be super cool if those kids then started a band like could you imagine how cool that backstory would be
